Rio Americano teams run well at CAL Cross Country Championships

The Rio Americano High School girls and boys cross country teams ran in the Capital Athletic League Championships held at William Jessup University in Rocklin on October 31, 2013,

 

The varsity girls captured 2nd place, with seniors Elizabeth Hutchison and Emily Hansen, freshmen Megan Auernig and Taylor Gowan, capturing all-league honors and medaling.

The varsity boys also came in 2nd place, with senior Kenji Anzai and freshman Noah Wallace earning all-league honors and medaling.

Senior Kirsten Blom medaled in the JV girls race, and freshman Trevor Singley and sophomores Cade Wright, Nathan Shaldone, and Sean Nelson all medaled in the JV boys race.

 

This upcoming weekend, on November 9, 2013, the teams will compete in the Sac- Joaquin Subsection meet held at the Calaveras County Fairgrounds in Angels Camp.
