Hip-hip, horray! It's the 4th of July! Next to Halloween, Independence Day is my favorite holiday. On this day, America takes the day off to honor our break from England, some 236 years ago. Celebration barbecues, fireworks displays, watermelon eating contests abound. And, of course, no celebration is complete without a 4th of July parade.
This year, Carmichael California's parade down Fair Oaks Boulevard has two very special guests. Drum roll please.....It's my son and I! This year, we will be riding on the Party Line Express which looks just like Thomas the Train.(see video) The parade route begins at Marconi Ave. and ends at Cypress Ave. Starting time is 10:30 am.
