I'm Your New Fair Oaks-Carmichael Patch Editor

Hello Fair Oaks and Carmichael! 

You may have noticed that my name and teeny tiny photo recently popped up at the top of the Fair Oaks-Carmichael Patch homepage. It's because I'm your new editor of Fair Oaks-Carmichael Patch.  

Here's a little bit about me: I launched Fair Oaks-Carmichael Patch's sister site, Roseville Patch, back in June of 2011 and ran that site until I went on maternity leave at the end of October 2012. I returned to Patch a few months later, sleep deprived, but excited to be back. My role shifted a little as I helped out with sites in the Bay Area and occasionally in the Sacramento area. I occasionally covered Fair Oaks and Carmichael stories, but not consistently — until now. 

Before joining Patch, I was a reporter and associate editor with Gold Country Media's Roseville and Rocklin newspapers. 

My husband, Alex, and I have a 9-month-old daughter, Raegan. We recently moved from Roseville to eastern Sacramento, a few miles from Carmichael. 

I'm excited to be covering Fair Oaks and Carmichael, but since I'm fairly new to Fair Oaks and Carmichael, I need your help. What type of information do you want to see on the site? Even though I can't be everywhere and cover everything, the great news is that you can easily post things to the site yourself through our boards and blogs.

Want the community to know the results of your son's baseball game? Share it as a blog with photos of the team.
