The Chateau at Carmichael Park senior community has named a new executive director, community officials announced.
Jim Dunning has been promoted to executive director, according to a release from officials at Hank Fisher Properties, which owns The Chateau. Dunning previously served as marketing director for the Chateau on Capitol Avenue.
The Chateau offers independent living, licensed assisted living and memory care apartments, as well as a memory day program, officials said. As executive
director, Dunning oversees the operations, including budgeting and complying with state and federal laws. He directs and provides leadership to staff to ensure the well being of residents and to keep families updated about their loved ones.
Dunning also works to foster alliances with community organizations, and builds and maintains resources for seniors. Dunning has more than 20 years of sales and management experience in a variety of industries. He earned a bachelor’s of science degree in business administration from Notre Dame de Namur University in the San Francisco Bay Area.
