Wednesday has arrived and with it comes the notoriety of "hump day." It's getting close enough to see the light at the end of the workweek, but not quite close enough to really start getting excited for the weekend. Luckily, there are plenty of events happening in Fair Oaks to sate that feeling of weekend wanderlust.
Zumba Wednesdays
offers its members the increasingly popular alternative fitness program Zumba every Wednesday. Come in at 9 a.m. or 6 p.m. each Wednesday this June for a work out. Who knows? Maybe you’ll learn a couple new dance moves in the process. It sounds like a win-win.
PASA – Program for Active Senior Adults
According to the Fair Oaks Recreation and Parks District website, PASA is a social organization designed to promote wonderful recreation activities for senior adults. PASA is held monthly on every second, third and fourth Wednesday. Doors open at 10 a.m. for those wishing to play cards. It’s all about business this week, though as is customary for the second Wednesday.

Discovered: Ancient Stories with Timeless Messages
Hey, kids, does Prometheus mean anything to you? How about Homer? No, not The Simpsons, we’re talking about Greek mythology. Come out to Orangevale Community Center at 6826 Hazel Avenue for some life lessons brought to you in part by some of ancient Greek history’s most legendary heroes and most nefarious villains. Come watch Groark the puppet, pontificate about the names of ancient Greek legends between 3:30 and 4:30 p.m.
