Where to Get a Flu Shot in the Sacramento Area

Find your way toward a low or no-cost flu shot before the season gets underway.

The drop in temperatures may be the among the best indicators of the changing seasons, and reminder to get an annual flu shot. There are many low-cost clinics in the Sacramento area to meet that demand, especially for seniors and those with chronic illness.

"While there is little flu activity right now, flu season usually begins in October, and flu activity is expected to increase in the coming weeks to months," the Center for Disease control stated. The agency recommends that everyone six months and older get a flu vaccine each year, which protects against the three viruses research indicates will cause the most illness during the upcoming season. 

The following is a llst of local clinics offering the flu shot at low or no cost. 

Roseville Medical Clinic
Where: 1130 Conroy Lane, Suite 402, Roseville 
When: Mondays, 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., and 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Through the County of Sacramento Divion of Public Health Immunization Assistance Program, seniors can receive a shot for a $10 donation at the following places and times:

Sacramento Association of Realtors
Where:
2003 Howe Ave.
When: Thursday, October 18, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Ethel Macleod Hart Senior Center
Where:
915 27th Street
When: Friday, November 2, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Voter Registration
Where:
7000 65th Street
When: Tuesday, November 6, noon to 5 p.m.

Centennial Methodist Church
Where:
5401 Freeport Blvd.
When: Tuesday, November 13, 10 a.m. to noon

North Highlands Community Center
Where:
6040 Watt Avenue
When: Thursday, November 29th, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Pannell Center
Where:
Meadowview Road
When: Thursday, November 13, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Kaiser Permanente is also offering free shots to its members throughout the month at the following locations and times:

South Sacramento Medical Center
Where:
6600 Bruceville Road, Sacramento. Dan B. Moore Gymnasium 
When: Monday through Friday (October 1 to November 21), 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., and Saturday, October 13 and 20, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Roseville Medical Center
Where:
1600 Eureka Road, Roseville. Medical Office Building 2(C), behind the lab. 
When: Monday through Saturday, 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Wednesdays to 7 p.m. (through October 31). Clinic closes for the season December 15.

East Roseville Parkway Building
Where:
1660 E. Roseville Parkway, Roseville 
When: Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., through November 21.

Sacramento Medical Center
Where:
2025 Morse Ave., Sacramento. Basement, lower level 7 
When: Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., through November 21.

Point West Medical Office Building
Where:

When: Monday through Saturday, 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Wednesdays until 7 p.m., through October 31. Clinic closes for the season on December 15.

Rancho Cordova Medical Office Building
Where:

Davis Medical Office Building

Chain link fence aroundRead More vacant/undeveloped land is usually an indicator of some County ordinance to secure the land for public safety. I'd buy the land and for the pure entertainment factor put mock working oil pump jacks on the land. Just to see what people do. :-p
