Carmichael Sisters Release Third Punk-Rock Album

The sister duo, "Dog Party," released a new album, Lost Control, recently.

Carmichael sisters who started the punk-rock duo "Dog Party," recently released their third album, Lost Control. 

Gwendolyn Giles, 17, and 15-year-old Lucy Giles attend Rio Americano High School in Sacramento; Gwendolyn as a senior and Lucy as a sophomore, according to the Sacramento Bee

Their band, which has taken them on tour to places like Berlin and New York, began four years ago. They first performed at a school talent show, the Bee reports

Their newest album is the first with the Asian Man Record label, the Bee reports. 

Gwendolyn on the guitar and Lucy on the drums, their songs are inspired by groups like "The White Stripes," "The Kills" and "Ramones," according to their Facebook page. You can hear one of their songs, "I Can't Wait," on YouTube above and here

Nylon magazine calls the sister duo "up-and-coming" and says the album is full fo songs you'll want to play on repeat.
