Concert band festival, flea market and 'paw-ty'.

is a ballet inspired strength workout that is an explosion of graceful movement, organizers said. Balletone develops core strength, muscular endurance, dynamic balance and flexibility. It is designed for the non-dancer at at any level of fitness. Classes are offered monthly or you may come by at 7 p.m. and take a "drop-in" class for only $8. Come register at the or you may pay at the class with the instructor.

8 a.m. . Craftsmen, artists, jewelry manufacturers, antique dealers and neighborhood folks will display their wares at the Elks' semi-annual parking lot sale. If you would like to participate, $15 is the price of a booth space.  Call the Lodge Secretary 916-489-2103 for more information. There will be hot dogs, hamburgers and soft drinks available for sale, so you can take your time and have lunch while shopping.

-Show your support for Saturday and Sunday at the Support Our Shelter Flea Market. S.O.S. raises funds to care for the 15,000 animals that come through the shelter every year. The flea market will be at 6241 Fair Oaks Boulevard (near the corner of Marconi Avenue across from ) in Carmichael courtesy of 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days. Flea market purchases are cash-only.

- 10:30 a.m. Free.Members of the Sacramento Storytellers Guild will share their entertaining tales of animals and nature.  All ages welcome.  $5 per car park admission fee.

- 12 p.m Free. The Sacramento Valley Symphonic Band Association presents the annual Carmichael Park Community Band Festival at the Carmichael Park Amphitheater. This is one of the largest community band festivals in California formore than 20 years. There will be a community band, one every hour from noon to 7 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday. Included in this year’s line-up is the 59th Army National Guard Band  "The Governor’s Own" at 1 p.m. Sunday.  Bring the entire family, a picnic, lawn chairs, and enjoy a lovely afternoon of music under the shade trees!

- 8 p.m. $19. Enjoy this classic production from writer Oscar Wilde as only Chautauqua Playhouse can do it (thorugh June 10).

-Pet parents have entrusted with the care of their dogs and cats for more than 14 million pet nights over the past two decades. To say thanks, Best Friends, at 3633 Garfield Avenue in Carmichael is hosting an anniversary “” Sunday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. with pet adoptions, activities for dogs and kids, and treats for pets and people.
