Man Wanted for Robbing Bank on Madison Avenue

The man robbed a bank Friday, May 10.

Authorities are seeking help in identifying a man who robbed a credit union near American River College last week.

Around 12:45 p.m. on Friday, a man entered the Schools Financial Credit at 5210 Madison Ave. and handed the teller a note demanding money. He made off with an undisclosed amount of cash, the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department said in a press release.    

Here’s how the sheriff’s department describes the suspect:    

The suspect (see attached surveillance photo) is described as a white male adult in his mid-30s. He is approximately 6’1” tall and 250 pounds, with red hair and a goatee.    

During the robbery, he wore a brown baseball cap with a black logo on the side, a black shirt and dark pants.    

Anyone knowing the identity of this suspect is asked to contact the Sheriff’s Robbery Bureau at (916) 874-5051. Tip information may also be left anonymously at www.sacsheriff.com, by texting to 274637 (CRIMES) and entering the keyword SSD, or by calling Crime Alert at (916) 443-HELP. Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
