Best Of Carmichael: Best Fine Dining Locale

Vote and/or nominate your favorite.

Get ready, Carmichael: It's time for a fine-dining faceoff.

We've put together a list of special-occasion restaurants based on our staff's experience and suggestions from our readers.

Now it's your turn: Tell us which of the restaurants below you like the best and why. You can click on the restaurant's name below to post a review, leave a comment on this article or vote in the poll.

This gourmet throwdown is part of our , in which we post a category each week and you pick the winner from among Carmichael businesses and organizations.

We've defined 'fine dining' broadly here—you won't necessarily find tuxedoed waiters serving multiple courses at these restaurants. But they are all places where you might go to celebrate a graduation or impress a date—where the prices for some dishes may be splurgy but the food says, 'We're worth it.' If you think we've left someone out, write them in!

We'll post the winner on Friday, based on your responses. Don't forget to leave a review in our directory, Patch Places, by clicking on the restaurant's name; reviews count extra in the tallying.

Now, without further ado, the nominees:

Note: This poll is not scientific, and is not the sole consideration in choosing a winner. The winner will be determined based on poll results, comments on this page and on ratings and reviews on Patch Places. Hint: The ratings and reviews count extra.

I like Lido Bar and Grill because the soups are good and co-owner Shawna Rivera is very attentive to her customers.

Bella Bru has my vote. Good food, excellent service. Matteo's food is ok but the service is poor. If Matteo's put more effort into customer service they would be better.

I think Matteo's has great potential. They just seem a little full of themselves. Really, no kids menu?
