Guess the Price: How Much for This Pizza?

Be the first to guess the price (including tax) and the restaurant it was prepared and win. Hint: It's delicious.

Update: Congratulations to Dawn Abshear who correctly guessed the location where this pizza was made as well as its correct price of $14.98.

Be sure to e-mail joshua.staab@patch.com to collect your gift certificate for the price of the pizza.

Original story: I was working on a story in one of my neighborhoods earlier this week when I happened across a pizza place I actually used to deliver pizzas for a long time ago. It had been years since I had been back last. I stopped in, looked around and the place hadn't changed much at all. Neither had the pizza.

It was just as delicious as it was when I worked there more than a decade ago. I didn't have time to order my personal favorite, but I ordered a tried-and-true favorite: A medium pepperoni. How could I go wrong?

I was immediately transported back to my late-teens, early-20s. I'd like to give a lucky reader a chance to have a similar experience, if not one all their own.

The lucky reader to correctly guess where this pizza came from and how much it cost, including tax will get receive a gift certificate for the same total price.

Do you think you know the answer? Guesses only count in the story's main comment section, so don't post them on Twitter or Facebook.

The rules are simple: Be the first to guess where this pizza was prepared and its price including tax and you win.

Those who correctly guess the menu item's location but not the correct price can still be winners. The closest to the price, including the correct restaurant can win if and when time runs out. The winner will receive a gift card in the same amount so you can enjoy your own meal. If no one guesses correctly by 5:00 p.m. Monday, we'll award the prize to whoever guessed closest.

And now for the fine print:

  • Open to legal residents of the 50 United States, the District of Columbia who are 18 and older.
  • To enter, leave your guess in the story's comment section. Only comments on this story, not Facebook or Twitter, are valid entries.
  • You may enter only once per contest.
  • The first person to answer correctly will win on Monday, Sept. 8 by 6 p.m.
  • One grand prize winner will receive lunch on Patch, not to exceed the price of $20.00.

I, too, miss the history quiz of a mystery location. Please bring it back.

I am curious as to why it is vacant and fenced off.

*gasp!!* Tacky chain link fence? There go the property values! Chain link fence aroundRead More vacant/undeveloped land is usually an indicator of some County ordinance to secure the land for public safety. I'd buy the land and for the pure entertainment factor put mock working oil pump jacks on the land. Just to see what people do. :-p

Thanks for the kind words Josh and for doing a good job of taking over Carmichael among other PatchRead More towns. I'll always remember promoting Patch around the area and the weird looks we/you got out at the multi-chamber mixer. Best of luck in Alaska and say hi to the eskimos for me.
