Who serves the best Mexican food in Carmichael? Vote for, rate and review your favorite business.

Enchiladas. Fajitas. Guacamole. Carnitas. Chile Rellenos. (Hungry yet?) When you're in the mood for Mexican food where do you go in Carmichael?

In this week's , we're asking Carmichael Patch readers which local restaurant serves the best Mexican food. We know that Carmichael is home to many Mexican restaurants and taquerias, but which one is the best?

Tell us which of the locations below is your favorite and why by rating and reviewing the location in our Patch Places business directory. Click on the business' name below to post a review and vote in our poll below.

Don't forget, it's not just about the number of votes in the poll — reviews count extra in the tallying.

Voting ends at 9 a.m. Friday. We'll post the winner on Friday, based on your responses. Don't forget to leave a review in our directory, Patch Places, by clicking on the business's name.

El Palmar is a great place for business lunch, family celebrations, girls night out , or date night. Family owned and operated. Service is excellent and prices are very reasonable and food portions big!! I've never had a bad meal there. Love this place!

Rey Azteca, hands down. This place is authentic, service is always fast and friendly... unlike the other Mexican restaurant in Carmichael. At Rey Azteca the food is always fresh, and now they have a newly remodeled bar and full liquor license. If you want Mexican-American food, don't go there, but if you like Posole, Pollo encebollado, carne asada or fajitas.... skip the rest and head to Rey Azteca!

Rey's has the best ceviche in town. I have tried it at other restaurants, but their's great.

El Papagayo is the only authentic Mexican restaurant in Carmichael every were else is just a white washed version of Mexican food. I have been to all of the restaurants above and could tell you hand down El Papagayo is #1. The fillete ala plancha takes me back to my day when my father would take me to visit family in Acapulco, Mexico and I use to go to a little place right by the beach that served a fish fillet exactly like it. Their salsa bar is the best I love the mango cucumber salsa. So if your looking for real down to earth homemade style Mexican food EL PAPAGAYO IS THE SPOT.
