Regional Readers' Choice: Where Do You Take Out-of-Towners?

What's the best destination among the Sacramento-area Patch sites?

When all the extended family members are in town this summer for the graduation ceremony, they're going to need something to do after the band has played and the caps have been thrown.

Some of them may have flown in from thousands of miles away, so your destination doesn't necessarily have to be down the street.

Or what if you want to get away from it all, take a weekend off and be a tourist without crossing the country or going through an airport security line?

Readers, what is the best regional destination in the area?

There are a total of six Patch towns in the Sacramento area: Carmichael, Elk Grove, Davis, Fair Oaks, Rosemont and Roseville. Does your town have the best destination in the region?

Tell us which of the destinations below is your favorite and why by rating and reviewing the location in our Patch Places business directory. Click on the business' name below to post a review and vote in our poll below.

  • Lasertag of Carmichael (Carmichael) [Patch Places page coming soon!]
  • (Carmichael)
  • Surf Xtreme (Elk Grove) [Patch Places page coming soon!]
  • Golfland Sunsplash (Roseville)

Don't forget, it's not just about the number of votes in the poll — reviews count extra in the tallying.

Voting ends at 9 a.m. Friday. We'll post the winner on Friday, based on your responses. Don't forget to leave a review in our directory, Patch Places, by clicking on the business's name.

I also take guests to Magnolia Antiques. I take them once and then they always want to go back every time they visit. Guests enjoy the friendly and helpful atmosphere of the store. We all enjoy grabbing a cookie and touring the store. Displays and stock change so it is like a different store everytime we visit!

Interesting, I've never heard of it. I'll have to check it out. For me, I take everyone out to the yolo bypass. I like to take them to check out the bats during the summer months, or just drive around and look for birds and otters. Its my favorite place.

Ok Karen and Sandra, Magnolia has been added to the poll. Please vote and tell your friends to vote and comment as well.

Yes, please check it out sometime. Magnolia is having their Market Place event on the 20th. They will have vendors outside as well as an indoor sale. We always go and have a great time!

Magnolia is special and needs and deserves the recognition. The store is beautiful and there are so many wonderful things to buy. The people that work there are the old fashioned, old school style of service...top notch and full of class!
