Weekend Planner May 5–8: Cinco de Mayo and Mothers Day

Here's what's happening in and around Carmichael this weekend.

The sound of musica is in the air! Check out the various fiestas and events in Carmichael and Sacramento in honor of Cinco de Mayo and Mothers Day.

The May 5 holiday celebrates the Mexican army's 1862 victory over the French at Puebla, Mexico, about 100 miles east of Mexico City.

In the spirit of Rodgers and Hammerstein, here are some more of our favorite things: Live mariachis and fresh margaritas, mingling with many señores y señoritas, Mother's Day outings, there's so much to do—these activities have been picked just for you!
