Who's Hiring: Curves Fitness Center, VCA and More

Mission Oaks Recreation and Parks District also hiring.

Like working with people or animals? This week's collections of jobs are all about just that.

VCA Animal Medical Group needs a client representative to take a look at the animals and operate much of the front desk. The Atrium needs a concierge/receptionist and server. Curves is looking to train a fitness coach. Lastly, the Mission Oaks Recreation and Parks District and the San Juan Unified School District need instructional help during and after school.

Position: Client services representative

Duties: Work closely with customers and their pets, operate the front desk which includes answering phones, inputting schedules, printing bills and other related duties.

Requirements: Veterinary experience and an understanding of medical terminology a plus and must be able to multitask and have strong computer skills.

Compensation: Depends on Experience

Position: Fitness coach

Duties: Help other women become fit and healthy by providing a supportive atmosphere. In addition, provide input and examples of work out strategies and techniques.

Requirements: Must complete training in exercise and nutrition.

Compensation: $8 per hour plus commission and benefits.

Position: Recreation leader

Duties: Plan programs, lead recreation games and crafts, help with homework and facilitate enrichment projects.

Requirements: Must be willing to stay on long term and have a desire to work with children.  Ideally looking for college students or those interested in a career in education.

Compensation: $8.25 to $8.50 per hour.

Position: Concierge/receptionist

Duties: This part time position involves working the front desk and welcoming guests. In addition to these duties, one must make security rounds, answer phones, respond to emergencies, receive packages, and more.

Requirements: Computer skills and problem solving skills preferred. Good customer service is a must and two years plus working with seniors.

Compensation: $9 per hour.

Position: Server/wait staff

Duties: This position involves serving seniors during meal times by filling requests, providing appropriate meals and delivering food with a smile.

Requirements: One year experience required, must enjoy working with the elderly and be able to pass a drug test and a criminal background check.

Compensation: $8 per hour.

5.

Position: Retail associate

Duties: Interact with customers in a kind and friendly manner. Helps customers finish their transactions and helps in other departments as needed.

Requirements: Must be able to meet store demands. Cash handling and customer service experience a plus.

Position: Instructional assistant III

Duties: Will help the teacher in instruction and aide in conflict resolution. Must help with facilitation of activities during class time.

Requirements: Must have passed the CBEST, AA or completed two years of college and must have or be willing to obtain a valid CDL.

Compensation: $12.55 to 15.77 per hour.
