Here's what's happening in and around Fair Oaks this weekend.
It's all about the food this time around; oh, yes, and let's not forget about the Easter Bunny as well. This weekend's offerings are chock-full of good things like pancakes, Easter egg hunts, games and togetherness. Take the family out for a fun-filled morning at . Want to get out of town, but not be in the car for ages? Take a brief drive to Orangevale, where you can visit Christ the King Lutheran Church and be a part of their festivities. These are just two of the five exciting activities we've lined up for your entertainment. Have a Happy Easter and a memorable Passover.

Why Go: Gather up the family and head out for a delicious pancake breakfast put on by the Fair Oaks Lions Club, carnival games, adult and child egg hunts—even an egg toss! See website for complete details.
Pricing: $4.50 per adult/$3.50 per child for pancake breakfast; $3 per person for Adult Egg Hunt, Face Painting or Choo Choo Rides; $.50 per carnival ticket or $10 for a package deal.

2. 5th Annual Community Easter Egg Hunt
Where/When: Christ the King Lutheran Church, Orangevale, Saturday 11:45 a.m. to 1:45 p.m.
Why Go: Your kids will enjoy a festive Easter Egg Hunt, along with food, music, stories, art and crafts and much more.
Pricing: Free.
Where/When: Borders Books & Music, Saturday 1 p.m.
Why Go: You just got an E-Reader for your birthday—yeah!—but don't know how to use it—wah. No worries: Attend this training session, where you can ask questions and become savvy with your new technical toy in no time at all.
Pricing: Free.
Where/When: Fair Oaks Presbyterian Church (Family Life Center), Sunday 8 a.m. until 10:30 a.m.
Why Go: Enjoy hearty flapjacks, scrambled eggs and sausage, all to be washed down with coffee and orange juice, with your family and fellow parishioners on this special Easter morning.
Pricing: Donation-based.
Where/When: Zinfandel Grille, Sacramento, Sunday 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. (Reservations currently available for time slots between 9:30–9:45 a.m. or after 1:30 p.m.; call to confirm availability)
Why Go: Put on your Sunday best and dig into an all-you-can-eat buffet of scrumptious fare, including Eggs Benedict, prime rib, salmon, penne casserole, pizzas, salads, french toast and even a chocolate fountain! Price also includes orange juice or Mimosa.
Pricing: $27.95 adults/$11.95 ages three to 12/Free for ages two and younger.
