Cooler Weather on the Way This Weekend

The National Weather Service is predicting highs in the low 70s with a chance of showers and thunderstorms across the Sacramento region Friday.

Thought summer was here to stay? Not quite.

A cool, breezy weather system is headed into the Sacramento Valley and much of Northern California Friday, according to the National Weather Service.

The chill will last through early Saturday and bring with it a chance of showers and thunderstorms on Friday, with several inches of snow possible in the Sierras. We'll see highs in the mid-70s to low-80s throughout the Fair Oaks area Friday—with low 60s in the Sierra foothills—before temperatures climb back into the high 70s on Sunday.
