- 's varsity basketball teams host New Life Christian School today. The girls varsity plays at 6 p.m. and the boys varsity plays at 7:30 p.m. Grab the family and get them out to watch some great games.
- History buffs, meets 6 p.m. today at the Fair Oaks Community Clubhouse (7997 California Ave.). Want to help preserve or learn about the history of Fair Oaks and meet some great people? This is the place for you.
- The Board of Education meets tonight at 6 p.m. (3738 Walnut Ave., Carmichael). One item on the agenda is an alternative school year calendar for 2011-2012. Bella Vista biology teacher Mrs. Whitford will be there in support. The proposed calendar can be found on page 59 of the Jan. 23, 2011 agenda, along with all other agenda items.
- Moms with kids 6 to 24 months of age, this event is for you. Baby Sign, Say and Play Class starts today from 5:15 - 6:15 p.m. and continues each Tuesday for six weeks. Class is held at the old Fair Oaks Library (4200 Temescal St.). The class will have lots of singing, signing and dancing to promote development of your little ones. The cost is $63 per parent/child, with a $55 materials fee due to the instructor on the first day of class.
