Rise and Shine: What's Happening 7/13

Kiwanis Meeting, Women's World Cup, Dancers at Library and Chamber Mixer.

It's Wednesday and you're almost to the middle of the work week. So do something fun! Here are some ideas.

1. Are you up early? Well, head on down to the starting at 7 a.m. at the Elks Lodge on Cypress Avenue. You'll be glad you did.

2. Also early is the U.S women's national soccer team playing France in the semifinals of the Women's World Cup soccer tournament. The game starts at 9 a.m. as it's being played in Germany. Following a comeback win over Brazil, the US women look to win it all. It's too early for area sports bars so catch it at home on ESPN or online at ESPN3.com. Go USA!

3. Calling all parents and kids:  Come watch the perform folkloric Mexican dances in colorful attire, set to festive traditional music. The event starts at 2 p.m. at the .

4. It's time once again for the monthly ! Tonight's gathering takes place at the , 6314 Fair Oaks Blvd. Enjoy food, drink, a raffle, networking and even bring your swimsuit if you want to take a dip.
