Fair Oaks Girl Wins Science Award (PDF link)

Selena Li, a 17-year-old Fair Oaks resident and Mira Loma High School student, this week won a $30,000 award from the Intel Science Talent Search for developing a new kind of treatment for liver cancer. She placed fifth in the nationwide competition, it was announced Tuesday. Check back with Fair Oaks Patch later for more information on this young scientist.
