1. If you've got animal-loving youngsters ages five to 10, bring them to the at 3:30 p.m. for , where they'll get to read to specially trained therapy doggies, earn stickers and eventually a book for their continued participation in this fine program.

2. In high school sports, the girls volleyball team hosts Christian Brothers at about 6:30 p.m. The Eagles are coming off of winning the 24-team Christine Craft Memorial Tournament at Oak Ridge with a 2-0 win Saturday over national power Archbishop Mitty of San Jose. Check back later for a story on the El Camino girls, who are 12-1 on the season. The El Camino boys soccer team is 6-0 enterting today's home matchup against Del Campo at 7 p.m. The Cougars are 1-3. The Del Campo girls volleyball team goes on the road to face Bear RIver in Grass Valley at 6 p.m. The Cougars are 2-1 on the season. El Camino's girls water polo team travels to Roseville to face Oakmont at 5:30 p.m. Mira Loma's boys soccer team is looking for its first win of the season at Foothill at 7 p.m. The Matadors have one tie and one loss on the season. plays at Woodcreek of Roseville at 6 p.m. The team heads south to Stockton to face St. Mary's. And the team plays at Sacramento Country Day School at 6 p.m.

3. Have fun participating in at 6 p.m. at the . Please call for additional details about this class. New students are asked to arrive 10-15 minutes early to register, wear comfortable clothing and ideally not have eaten for at least two hours prior to taking the class.

4. If you have a loved one with and need support, attend a session at 6 p.m. at Carmichael Oaks Assisted Living and Memory Care and talk with others in the same situation over snacks and beverages, led by facilitator Susan Seidenzahl.
