Booths Available for Fair Oaks Christmas in The Village 2012

If space is available, Fair Oaks Village Merchants Association officials will accept applications up till the day of the event, Dec. 8.

Officials from the Fair Oaks Village Merchants Association want to remind area residents that merchant booth spaces are still available for the 29th Annual Christmas in The Village.

This year, festival coordinators have assembled a list of traditional community favorites as well as some new events and attractions to keep things fresh. Guests can expect new and returning merchant boots, refresments and freshly prepared food, live shows for the kids and, of course, pictures with Santa.

Merchants Association coordinator Nan Danford said 10 merchants boots are still available. According to Danford, booths will include all varieties of arts, crafts and specialty items offered by the exhibitors for purchase by the public. The products will be juried to ensure variety of merchandise offered.

Prices for booth spaces vary, with proceeds benefitting the Merchants Association and the Fair Oaks Chamber of Commerce. Each space is tiered; as prices increase, certain amenities, including space size, advertising and Chamber business is exposure are provided by the Chamber. Proceeds will go back toward the expenses which were paid for by organizations like the Chamber, Rotary Club of Fair Oaks and the Fair Oaks Foundation of Leisure and Arts (FOFLA), Danford said.

Danford explained in previous years, 25 booths would inhabit Plaza Park, but this year, festival coordinators are adding about 20 more booths along Fair Oaks Blvd. and California Ave.
