On this date in Fair Oaks History, the first Fair Oaks Bridge was completed and opened to traffic.
On March 23, 1901, the first Fair Oaks Bridge was finished and open to traffic (such as it was). Six years later, almost to the day, this bridge washed out in a great flood and was replaced by the current Old Fair Oaks Bridge.
