Obituary: Longtime Pastor Wayne Phillips, 88, Passes
For 24 years Rev. Doyle Wayne Phillips served as an active member of the First Baptist Church of Fair Oaks.
The Rev. Doyle Wayne Phillips, longtime pastor for the First Baptist Church of Fair Oaks died April 22 from Parkinson's disease, The Sacramento Bee reported Tuesday. Phillips was 88.
Those who knew Phillips said he was a very beloved member of the Church and man of many Sacramento areas, said Martha Kelly, Administrator for First Baptist Church of Fair Oaks.
A service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at at 4401 San Juan Ave.
