2 Arrested for Home Burglary & Attempt to Sell Stolen Items

Jones and Castro were both arrested and booked at the Sacramento County Jail.

Two men were arrested for stealing property from a Carmichael home and attempting to sell it. Sacramento Sheriff's deputies arrested Raphaelle Jones, 23, and James Castro, 22 for the crime.

The "residence had the rear glass door shattered by unknown object," according to the Sacramento County Sheriff's crime log. Identifiable property was stolen from the residence.

The suspects then went to a nearby store to sell the stolen property, but the store owner was aware the property was stolen, according to the report.

The owner called law enforcement while the suspect "was inside the store and completed a sales receipt," according to police. The suspect was detained in the store with the stolen property.

"A search of [his] vehicle revealed more stolen property from [the victim's] residence," said the crime log.

The second suspect fled on foot and was detained about a block away. He had stolen property and medication in his pants pocket.

Jones and Castro were both arrested and booked at the Sacramento County Jail.

I am curious as to why it is vacant and fenced off.

*gasp!!* Tacky chain link fence? There go the property values! Chain link fence aroundRead More vacant/undeveloped land is usually an indicator of some County ordinance to secure the land for public safety. I'd buy the land and for the pure entertainment factor put mock working oil pump jacks on the land. Just to see what people do. :-p

Thanks for the kind words Josh and for doing a good job of taking over Carmichael among other PatchRead More towns. I'll always remember promoting Patch around the area and the weird looks we/you got out at the multi-chamber mixer. Best of luck in Alaska and say hi to the eskimos for me.
