65-Year-Old Stabbing Victim Identified

A 26-year-old is in custody and has been charged with murder in the crime.

The man stabbed to death in Carmichael Wednesday has been identified as 65-year-old Roy Shier, various news outlets are reporting.

The Sacramento Bee and CBS 13 have named Shier in the victim of the Coyle Avenue stabbing, which took place around 11 p.m. Wednesday.

Kenneth Donald Azlin, 26, is currently in custody and faces a murder charge in connection with the crime. He is due in court Friday afternoon.
