Carmichael Child Porn Investigation Prompts Seizure Of Suspect's Property

Deputies searched the home of a Carmichael man suspected of possessing child pornography Wednesday morning, according to Sheriff's Sgt. Jason Ramos said.

The investigation was conducted at the man's home inside the Hillcrest Apartments at 8327 Fair Oaks Blvd., Ramos said.

Ramos was mum to disclose more information, only acknowledging no arrest was made. While investigating the man's home, Sheriff's detectives seized computer equipment, he said.

"We recovered some computer-related equipment pursuant to the search warrant," Ramos said. "It's consistent with why the investigators went there."

Ramos said Sheriff's officials will next process and analyze the recovered equipment from the home, which will determine what comes next in the investigation.
