Carmichael Church To Assist in Search for Missing Woman

Sheriffs say Linnea Lomax went missing Tuesday.

Members of a Carmichael church will meet early Thursday morning to assist in the search for a woman who went missing on Tuesday.

A search party is forming at 6 a.m. at , located at 5645 Marconi Ave., to search for Linnea Lomax, 19, according to a post on the Facebook page for "Hangtown, Ca."

Lomax was last seen at about 1 p.m. Tuesday on the 800 block of Howe Avenue, Sacramento County Sheriff's Department officials announced. She is a student at the University of California, Davis, KCRA 3 is reporting.

"Pray for our friend Linnea Lomax - been missing for 24hours," the Upper Room Student Ministry group at Carmichael Presbyterian wrote on their Twitter page. "Needs our prayers & support. Please retweet."

She is considered to be at-risk due to her disappearance being inconsistent with her normal behavior patterns, according to a Sheriff's Department release.

Police said Lomax is 5’2” tall and weighs about 100 lbs. She has long, blonde hair and blue eyes and was last seen wearing a dark blue hooded sweatshirt and green pants.

Anyone who may have seen Lomax is asked to contact the Sheriff’s Department at (916) 874-5115.

This is at least the second recent case involving a woman in the Carmichael area. , 25, has been missing since March 23, according to her mother Bryn Barton. Check back later for an update on that case.
