Carmichael Man Arrested after Standoff with Police

Sacramento County Sheriff's spokesman: "He looked like he was dressed for war."

 

A Carmichael man in his 20’s was taken into custody after a three hour standoff with police Monday morning.   The standoff started after the man’s mother called police at about 6:15 a.m. Monday, September 16.

According to News10, the woman described her son as “drunk and agitated” when she called police.  Law enforcement officers used rubber bullets and a dog to finally get the man in custody.

There were no reported injuries during the incident and police were unsure about what if any charges will be leveled against the man who is undergoing psychiatric examination.
