Carmichael Motorcyclist Killed in Crash on Fair Oaks Blvd.

CHP investigating case of Alva Dean Haught.

A Carmichael man died after the motorcycle he was riding crashed into a wooden fence and telephone pole on Fair Oaks Boulevard on Friday evening, California Highway Patrol officers confirmed.

Alva Dean Haught, 54, was riding a 1989 Honda Elite motorcyle east of Nicklaus Place at about 9:05 p.m. when, for unknown reasons he turned right into the fence and pole, CHP officials said.

Haught was taken to Mercy San Juan Medical Center where he died from his injuries, according to the CHP.

He was wearing a helmet, CHP officers said. Police cannot say if alcohol or drugs were a factor, pending a toxicology report.
