Carmichael Man Linked to Roseville Vehicle Burglaries

A Carmichael resident was arrested April 8 in Roseville, linked to car break-ins at park entrances.

Police arrested a 30-year-old Carmichael man who they believe may be linked to several vehicle burglaries at Roseville park trailheads recently. 

Around 8:30 a.m. April 8, a Roseville patrol officer noticed someone sitting in a parked car in the Miner's Ravine trailhead parking lot off of Sierra College Boulevard. The suspect's car was parked very close to an unoccupied parked car, according to Roseville Police. 

The officer contacted the suspect and searched his vehicle; the officer found suspected stolen property and a spool of copper wire. The officer also found that the suspect was on post-release community supervision parole.

During the investigation, officers connected the Carmichael man to two car break-ins on March 27 at another trail entrance on Orvietto Drive. Police believe he may be connected to other vehicle burglaries at trailheads. 

Police have noticed a trend of car break-ins at park trailheads recently in Roseville, according to police.

The 30-year-old Carmichael man was arrested on suspicion of burglary, possessing stolen property and other related charges.
