Carmichael Raley's Robbed By Man with Fake Gun, Knife

Police arrest Earon Davis.

A masked man robbed the supermarket in Carmichael on Sunday evening, the Sacramento County Sheriff's has confirmed.

Earon Davis, 18, was arrested by Sacramento County Sheriff's deputies after he robbed the store at 5169 Fair Oaks Boulevard near Walnut Avenue with a fake gun and knife, Dep. Jason Ramos said.

Deputies got the call from an employee at Raley’s at about 11:24 p.m. that a black male had come to the store and robbed them of money and also took personal property belonging to one of the employees, Ramos said.

The suspect had a backpack on and was reportedly armed with a gun and a knife. He reportedly fled from the business into a nearby residential neighborhood.

Deputies were on the scene within minutes and set up a search for the suspect. He was found nearby and taken into custody, Ramos said. Deputies recovered the backpack that he had, which contained a fake gun that appeared very real.

Davis was booked on charges of robbery, kidnapping, false imprisonment and resisting/obstructing arrest, Ramos said. His bail is $250,000.

No employees of the store were injured during this incident.

Too bad he didn't pull out the fake gun while the officers closed in on him!

That was the cause of the helicopters going round--and--round--and--round--and keeping me awake. Glad they got him.
