Carmichael Resident Arrested for Possession of Stolen Vehicle in Petaluma

The 23-year-old also had two outstanding warrants from Mariposa County.

A 23-year-old Carmichael resident was arrested Tuesday in Petaluma for possession of a stolen vehicle. 

At 9:45 p.m. June 18, a Petaluma KP officer on patrol spotted a solen vehicle that was reported earlier that morning. The officer conducted a vehicle stop and arrested Thomas Newcomb, according to the Petaluma Police Department. 

Newcomb had two outstanding warrants from Mariposa County, located east of Modesto. He was transported and booked into Sonoma County Jail with a bail of $35,000. 

The vehicle was returned to the owner.
