Non-Injury Fire Breaks Out in Fair Oaks

The fire in the 7400 block of Santa Susana Way, in Fair Oaks, was reported about 3 a.m.

A home in Fair Oaks sustained some damage Thursday, though firefighters managed to save a great deal of the contents, officials said.

The fire in the 7400 block of Santa Susana Way was reported about 3 a.m., according to Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District's Rashawn Fulcher.

Arriving firefighters saw flames shooting from the roof of the house and immediately ventilating the home to lessen the flames and containing the blaze to the attic, Fulcher said in a news release.

It took 24 firefighters to contain the blaze and save the house, Fulcher said.

The cause of the fire was under investigation.
