Firefighters Extinguish Fair Oaks Blvd. Apartment Blaze
Fire broke out in Carmichael Tuesday night.
Firefighters spent Tuesday night extinguishing a blaze in the 8700 block of Fair Oaks Boulevard in Carmichael.
According to a press release from the Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District, an apartment complex in that area caught fire around 11:30 p.m. Seven of the eight apartment units were saved because of firefighters' efforts, the press release states.
None of the 24 firefighters nor any civilians were injured, the release states. The department estimates $350,000 in damage was averted.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
