The GameStop in the Madison Mall shopping center was robbed Sept. 15

In an ironic bit of what could be seen as life imitating video games, a local GameStop was robbed at gunpoint Sept. 15 around 11:32 a.m.

According to a Sacramento County Sheriff's report, a white male, aged somewhere between 30 and 35 entered the 6711 Madison Ave. store and waited until everyone was gone before confronting the front counter clerk.

The suspect then displayed a handgun to the employee, demanding that he hand over money. No merchandise was stolen in the process.
