A Carmichael man accused of a 1980 murder in South Lake Tahoe whom was arrested late last month has pleaded not guilty, news outlets are reporting.
, now 50, is charged with killing Richard Swanson on Aug. 14, 1980. Sanford entered the plea during an arraignment Friday in Placerville, the Tahoe Daily Tribune reported.
The next hearing in the case is scheduled for April 16, the Tribune reported.
