Kristi Deann Merrill, 25, was last seen March 23, according to Missing Persons Report No: 12.65396 filed in March of 2012. While reported to Sacramento County, they were stated to have closed the case based on talking to an unidentifiable girl who claimed to be Kristi Merrill via a telephone that did not belong to Kristi Merrill. They never made personal contact and stated their case load was so high they "refused" to pursue the case due to the phone call in Placer County. Placer County has yet to release any information to the Maternal Grandmother-Reporting Party of Missing Person Kristi Merrill.

Bryn You'd think the Patch would do another article and update the info they presented on April 23rd -------- What are they waiting for ??????????
Rhonda Remy Coletti June 24, 2012 at 07:55 PM
I happened upon this article by chance and have now read several articles about Kristi. I believe I grew up with her mother in placerville, ca. I can think of nothing that would kill me inside as much as what has happened in this case. This case should be re-opened and the media should e demanding answers from the police. Speaking to someone over the phone and taking that info as "the person"? Are you kidding me? This is an injustice.

Rhonda I built the Petition for Kristi and the web page for her seen at http://www.angelfire.com/cruci34/kristimerrill.html If more people would see what we can do with existing technology and realize that the benefits far outweigh the "Invasion of Privacy" issues I am sure we would all be safer and crimes would be solved within minutes - and we would save billions of dollars on the searches, investigations and prosecutions of the cases - To those who cry "Invasion Of Privacy" - Criminals will NOT respect your privacy and they will invade your homes and may destroy your life Please read OUR Petition seen at http://sign.1sta.com --- especially the link to the page with the scenarios cover how our system would work ( trenton.2ya.com ) --- Our main page ( findthemissing.vze.com ) lists everything you need to make a decision if you want the technology in place. The petition for Kristi is at http://www.change.org/petitions/help-get-answers-from-police-about-missing-carmichael-ca-woman-kristi-merrill I ask ALL who want to help to band together and - share, tweet post all my notices - Cut and Paste THIS comments onto any page for any crime and then edit it to fit...... We need many many more to ADDS THEIR voices before we can expect any action. I don't post my name on these boards anymore because I have been getting some strange phone calls and emails I am Finding Missing on Face Book and My GROUP IS "Find the Missing"

Think how much money the Police would save if the system seen at http://sign.1sta.com were in place --- The figures are staggering and supplied in the "Cost" section seen on the main web site for The effort to get the technology adapted for use by Police see http://findthemissing.vze.com and use the Navigation Menu The only downside is the perceived Invasion of Privacy" issues conjured up by the paranoid and bleeding heart liberals

I have built a petition at ( http://www.change.org/petitions/family-needs-you-to-help-get-answers-from-police-about-missing-carmichael-ca-woman-kristi-merrill ) asking for more in depth coverage of this case. Maybe if the Sheriffs Departments gets inundated with requests from the media they will actually investigate Ms Bartons Allegations. In a "Perfect world" we would have Law Enforcement Officers that do their jobs and Really investigate all aspects of a crime ( Including interviewing people face to face and NOT over the phone ) I wonder what he would do if it was his daughter ..... and someone said they talked with her on the phone and she told them she was OK....... Please also read a sign another petition to ADAPT existing technology to assist police so their job is Simpler That petition is seen at http://sign.1sta.com Please Keep the pressure on ---- The police can't behind inane excuses forever.

Thank you Victor, But can't you do more ????? You must have some contacts with network and mainstream media....... OR even the bloggers who deal with crime like Levi Page
AdelitaZMurrieta June 28, 2012 at 09:51 PM
To Find the Missing, don't you think you are being a bit rude to Mr. Calderon? He is the local editor of a Carmichael-based newspaper and his job is to report news in the Carmichael community. He is not a law enforcement officer or an expert on how to locate missing, mentally ill, or exploited persons. He was smart and compassionate enough to run the story. And I'm sure the story has helped inform the people of Carmichael, who in turn may assist the police with information on locating her. I understand your frustrations with the case, but I think you need to check yourself and project your anger elsewhere.

Dear Find The Missing, I don't appreciate your tone. I can continue to be the best Carmichael-based source for any updates on the case. Both yourself and Bryn can keep the discussion going in comments, blogs, announcements, etc. The ultimate goal is reuniting Kristi with her daughter and mother, in good health. I can't dictate the lack of coverage from the Carmichael Times, Arden-Carmichael News, The Sacramento Bee, local TV stations and independent blogs. I understand Bryn and your frustration with law enforcement in this case and you are welcome to express as much in a blog post on Carmichael Patch.

Again Thank You Victor You went above and beyond what most have / would have done. even though the response from the police is not really acceptable or makes sense All I can ask is that you continue to follow the case and do whatever you think might help to bring Kristi Home Again THANK YOU so much
Brandi June 30, 2012 at 07:24 AM
When my sister-in-law was missing (Pollock Pines Ca school teacher Brandy Bidgood) ANGER was at the top of my emotions. If you have never personally experienced this situatation you do not know how it feels. NO ONE can do enough to locate the missing family member, and you will ask any one you can for help. Emotions are out of control and the pain is indescribable. My prayers go out to these two families here in Carmichael, I live in Carmichael and I have a small daughter. I have also lost my brother in a traffic collision so I can feel you pain. Don't give up.

TO: AdelitaZMurrieta And I thank Victor on the web page which I built for Kristi Merrill's CASE AT http://kristimerrillismissing.alturl.com Wouldn't your time be better spent helping find the missing than trying to cause dissension.
Bryn Barton June 30, 2012 at 04:33 PM
Thank you Victor, these last few days have been tough as much coverage is being spent on the Lomax family which I am so thankful for them for. But Kristi is out there under nearly the same circumstances, off her medications leading to her probably not making good judgment calls or not wanting to be found but you and you alone are the only one who has assisted in writing an article about my beautiful daughter. Thank you again as I've stated without Christ Community Church, and just about every business Adiysn and I go to or anyone we meet in Carmichael who has loved and supported us and helped look for Kristi, we appreciate you all with all of our hearts. It means more than you know when you're sitting at home, and you pass by your daughter's room and it's still empty. Kristi and our family will never forget you.
Bryn Barton June 30, 2012 at 04:37 PM
Victor is a wonderful man and our family who is hurting much like the Lomax family, although we have an added factor of an 18 month old missing her Mommy and her mother off her medications, and we appreciate more than he can ever imagine all his efforts being the only person to assist thus far in coverage. The community of Carmichael has in fact been my saving grace as everywhere my granddaughter and I go, we are loved and supported. I wish the Sheriff had not closed the case based off the fact that she's and adult and does not want to be found, just as Linnea stated she does not want to be, but I pray for both of our families daily because it's just the right thing to do.
Bryn Barton June 30, 2012 at 04:38 PM
Thank you Brandi, our family appreciates your thoughts and no, we will never give up.

This comment is From another article on this case: Sharing Your Pain 5:36 am on Monday, July 2, 2012 My prayers are with both families and I feel your pain. I've been told the exact same thing from Berkeley Police, however Kristi Merrill's situation is even more serious, she has child waiting at home for her. Question for her mother, why didn't they pick her up and charge her for abandoning her child? I do believe that is a crime in the state of california,..Again my prayers go out to you and never stop looking.. from: Sharing Your Pain, Ca.
