Does This Man Have Info on Attempted Fair Oaks Kidnapping?

The male sought for questioning was seen near La Vista Center School very close to when the incident occurred. He is not considered a suspect.

The Sacramento County Sheriff's Department is seeking information related to an alleged recent attempted kidnapping that occurred at La Vista Center School in Fair Oaks March 2.

The incident involved a young female who was allegedly grabbed by the ankle and dragged from a soccer field where she was playing with a number of her friends, according to Sheriff's Sgt. Jason Ramos.

Sheriff’s detectives are looking to identify a man who may have information regarding the possible kidnap attempt of a young girl at a Fair Oaks school several days ago. The incident occurred March 2nd, 2013 between 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. at La Vista Center School in the 4500 block of Bannister Road.

Several young girls were playing on the school campus during the morning, when one of them got separated from her friends. A male suspect approached the young female victim, grabbed her by the ankle, and began to drag her along the ground. The victim was able to yell for help, at which time the suspect got onto a bicycle and fled southbound from the school.

The suspect was described as a white male believed to be in his early 20s, between 5’10” and 6’ tall, black hair and a thin build. He wore a black jacket or hooded sweatshirt and jeans during the incident.

The man in the attached sketch was seen near the campus very close to when the incident occurred. He is being sought only for any information that he may have that could help with the investigation, and is not considered to be a suspect in the crime.
