Missing Carmichael Woman Located, Safe at Home

Barbara Langford, 75, suffers from dementia and was last seen near Fair Oaks and Sunrise boulevards, according to the Sheriff's department.

Barbara Langford, 75, reported missing last week from her home in Carmichael, returned safely over the weekend, according to Sheriff's Sgt. Jason Ramos.

No other information was available at the time of this report.

The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department has issued a Silver Alert for a missing Carmichael woman who suffers from dementia and went missing at around 3 p.m. Friday afternoon, a sheriff's department spokesman said.

Barbara Langford, 75, lives in the 4100 block of Sangamon Street and was last seen near Fair Oaks and Sunrise boulevards about 3 p.m., according to Sgt. Jason Ramos. Langford is considered at-risk due to her dementia, he said.

Langford has short, red-brown hair and blue eyes, is 5 feet, 5 inches tall and weighs about 140 pounds. She last wore a blue jacket with white sleeves with a Disney California Adventure logo.

Ramos said Langford may be driving a dark blue 2003 Toyota Rav4, with a Florida license plate  that reads S146NS. An Obama-Biden sticker sits in the rear window, deputies said.

Similar to Amber Alerts, Silver Alerts are issued for the missing elderly.
