Victims Robbed at Gunpoint in The Village, Suspects at Large

The three suspects each had guns, including what may have been a shotgun. They remain at large.

Two females were held at gunpoint on the 7900 block of California Avenue, Thursday, May 3 around 10:30 p.m.

The incident occurred near Village Park when three unknown suspects approached the female victims on foot. One of the suspects produced a "long gun" (most likely a shotgun, said Ramos) and pointed it at the women. The other suspects also produced handguns and pointed them at the women. According to the report, the suspects demanded property from victims; however, neither woman had much, but a cell phone. The suspects ran to a nearby vehicle and fled the area in an unknown direction.

The three suspects are described as black males between the ages of 18 and 24. They appeared to be about 5-feet-10-inches tall, weighing approximately 150 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.

Unexpected visit leads to robbery at gunpoint

An unexpected visit from a girlfriend's ex-boyfriend left an area man without his wallet, keys or cell phone.

According to a report filed by Sacramento County Sheriff's Department deputies, on April 15 two suspects acquainted with the victim's girlfriend entered the victim's Winding Way home when one of them displayed a black hand gun. Upon brandishing the weapon, the victim was told to hand over his personal property.

"There’s nothing to indicate that this robbery was motivated by a lover’s quarrel, or anything else," said Sheriff's spokesman Jason Ramos. It was just a couple of guys that saw an opportunity, and robbed someone for financial/product gain."

The suspects fled in an unknown direction; however, later that day the victim's debit card was used at various locations throughout Citrus Heights and other Sacramento County locations, Ramos said.

"The names of the businesses were listed, but not locations," Ramos said.

Ramos also explained the victim hesitated to report the incident because he was “more concerned about watching his back than making a report”. He finally decided that he needed to make a report for what he described as “for banking and insurance purposes”.

The suspects are described as hispanic males, ages 30 to 35, each around 5-feet-8-inches.
