Interstate 80 along the Yolo Causeway is closed to traffic in both directions as law enforcement officials search for a shooting suspect who fled from West Sacramento.

According to a Sacramento Bee report, California Highway Patrol Officer Rich Wetzel said the suspect is described as a white man in his mid-to-late-20s, balding and wearing a light shirt and dark pants.

West Sacramento Police Department spokesman Sgt. Nathan Steele explained officers responded to shots being fired at B&R Head & Block Repair, 407 Harbor Blvd. around 6:30 a.m.

Authorities advise motorists from Davis should take Highway 113 to Woodland and take Interstate 5 to Sacramento instead of I-80.

Most of the people in my office come in from Sacramento. They are all working from home today. I was planning on going out for photos to the bypass for lunchtime....looks like that might not be on the books anymore. I hope they find him before he causes more problems.

I think you could get some noteworthy photos out on the bypass today. But you could also get yourself into some trouble. Good call. Stick close to the office. (Not that you'd be able to get anywhere near there today).

I know you're not a "bird watcher," but you demonstrated some expertise when you gave us our guided tour. This could have been you! Via Twitter: "Birdwatcher carjacked in #Causeway #Yolo manhunt. How depressing to leave the house for a good birdwatch, only to get carjacked?"

OMG!!! That is CRAZY!! I used to work at B&R Head and Block repair; very nice people, I can't think of any reason someone would want to do something like that to those guys! Hope police catch the shooter!

Wow, really? I'm very interested to see how and why all of this happened. How long ago did you work there?
