Woman Jumps Out of a Window to Escape Deputies

The woman was then arrested after a brief foot chase.

A woman took matters into her own hands jumping from the rear window of her Orangevale home when Sacramento Sheriff's deputies came knocking.

On April 9 around 9:27 a.m., deputies were dispatched to the 6300 block of Filbert Avenue following citizen complaints of alleged drug activity where they came to the home of Sarah Kronlund. Little did deputies know that Kronlund was a parolee at large, a fact they would find out after the woman jumped out her rear window when the deputies knocked on her front door, according to the deputy report.

The report states Kronlund made an immediate break for the window as soon as deputies knocked on the door. Somehow deputies caught wind of this, realized she had made a fast dash and found themselves in a foot chase with the fleeing woman.

After a short chase, deputies managed to track down 23-year-old Kronlund where they placed her under arrest. During the subsequent investigation of her home, deputies found a small plastic baggie in Kronlund's bedroom. According to the report, the baggie contained an off-white crystal substance which was later identified as methamphetamine.

Kronlund was later booked at Sacramento County's Main Jail on charges of possession of illegal narcotics.
