Missing Woman Found After Being Hit by Light Rail Train

Alice Alspektor, 66, had been missing since Tuesday night.

UPDATE: A 66-year-old woman who went missing near Carmichael Tuesday was found Wednesday night after she was hit by a train and hospitalized, authorities say.

Alice Alspektor, who went missing from the Arden Arcade area and was considered at-risk, was hit by a light rail train near Watt Avenue and I-80, Sacramento County Sheriff's Department spokesman Sgt. Jason Ramos said.

"She has been transported to a hospital, and her family has been notified," Ramos said in an email.

A woman considered at-risk has been missing from the Arden Arcade area since Tuesday, authorities say.

Alice Alspektor, 66, was last seen around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday in the 3900 block of Edison Avenue, according to a press release from the Sacramento County Sheriff's Department.

She is considered at-risk because she is bipolar and has dementia, the press release states.

Alspektor is described by the department "as a white female adult, 5-foot-7 tall and weighing approximately 160 pounds. She has brown hair, hazel eyes and a medium complexion. She was last seen wearing a brown, fleece zip-up jacket with a fur-lined hood.

"Anyone knowing the whereabouts of this missing person is asked to contact the Sheriff’s Department at 916-874-5115."

Chain link fence aroundRead More vacant/undeveloped land is usually an indicator of some County ordinance to secure the land for public safety. I'd buy the land and for the pure entertainment factor put mock working oil pump jacks on the land. Just to see what people do. :-p
