Woman Robbed at Carmichael ATM

A woman was robbed at a Fair Oaks Boulevard ATM in Carmichael, authorities say.

A woman was robbed at a Carmichael Wells Fargo ATM recently, authorities announced Tuesday.

The woman was withdrawing money from the ATM, located at 7225 Fair Oaks Blvd., around 8 p.m. on Wednesday when she was approached from behind.

A man demanded the cash the woman had just withdrawn, and she handed it over, a Sacramento County Sheriff's Department crime log states.

"[The suspect] told [the victim] to leave and then he walked away," the crime log states. "[The victim] returned to her place of work and called 9-1-1."

The crime log doesn't indicate whether a weapon was used in the robbery, and describes the suspect only as a 20- to 30-year-old black man standing 5-foot-5 and weighing around 140 pounds.

Anyone with information on this incident may contact the Sacramento County Sheriff's Department at 916-874-TIPS (8477), by texting "SSD" and the tip to CRIMES (274637) or online at sacsheriff.com.

I, too, miss the history quiz of a mystery location. Please bring it back.

I am curious as to why it is vacant and fenced off.

*gasp!!* Tacky chain link fence? There go the property values! Chain link fence aroundRead More vacant/undeveloped land is usually an indicator of some County ordinance to secure the land for public safety. I'd buy the land and for the pure entertainment factor put mock working oil pump jacks on the land. Just to see what people do. :-p

Thanks for the kind words Josh and for doing a good job of taking over Carmichael among other PatchRead More towns. I'll always remember promoting Patch around the area and the weird looks we/you got out at the multi-chamber mixer. Best of luck in Alaska and say hi to the eskimos for me.
