Candidate-Filing Period to Run for County Government Begins July 16
Check back with Fair Oaks Patch to find out who is running locally for Fair Oaks district and school boards.
Residents hoping to run for office in Fair Oaks in November can file for consideration for inclusion on the ballot from July 16 through 5 p.m. Aug. 10.
Three board seats will be available; directors Brandon Rose and John O'Farrell will "term out" at the end of November as well as Board Chair Geoff Simcoe. They will be eligible for re-election if they choose to run. The term begins Dec. 11.
Multiple seats on the San Juan Unified School District board will open up as well. President of the board, Richard Launey's term ends at the end of November as well as board members Lucinda Luttgen and Larry Miles. All of these terms begin Dec. 7.

The has at least one seat on its board of directors to fill. Daniel Gilliam is the Director for the Fair Oaks Water District’s Division Two and his seat will need to be filled by Decemeber 2012, according to the FOWD website.
All of these positions are four-year terms.

The next municipal election is scheduled to take place Nov. 6.
If an incumbent does not file by Aug. 10, all other candidates have until Aug. 15 to file for that office.
