Brown Wins Area 4 County Board of Ed. Seat

Incumbent beat challenger for the Sacramento County Board of Education seat covering Fair Oaks and Carmichael. Here are the final results.

Brown, placed first in Tuesday's primary with 72.4 percent of the vote. Official results show Brown's only opponent, Estelle Lemieux taking 27 percent of the vote.

"My feeling is there are of people who support that we should be talking about kids. The issue is being for good schools that are for kids," Brown said. "Whether that be a charter school or not, the issue is that the school has to have the best potential to supporte the kids. We on the Sacramento County Board of Education are seen as wanting to help kids. That is our responsibility to address that acheivement gap."
