Other facts

I am proud of my past record. The school board has worked creatively and hard to keep San Juan solvent despite desperate financial times, to maintain our A+ bond rating which gives San Juan the ability to refinance bonds and return taxpayers' money, to develop the community derived Strategic Plan which directs practices and beliefs into action about student learning, to maintain a robust fine arts program, to develop a state-of-the-art career-technical education curriculum at San Juan High School, to continue summer classes at Camp Winthers at Soda Springs, to continue the labor peace that exists with our five unions, to preserve the diversity of programs at various schools and parents' ability to choose the school that best fits their child, and finally of the re=invigoration of the San Juan Education Foundation which is so supportive of the San Juan School community.
