Peters Elected Vice Chair of Board of Supervisors

Nottoli will lead meetings as chair in 2012.

Carmichael's representative on the Sacramento County Board of Supervisors has been chosen for the second ceremonial position leading that board.

Susan Peters, who represents Carmichael and Fair Oaks in District 3, was elected by her peers Tuesday as vice chair of the board of supervisors, according to a press release.

Don Nottoli, who has served District 5, which includes Rosemont and Elk Grove, since 1994, was elected as chair.

Nottoli's extra responsibilities on the five-person board are mostly ceremonial, and include presiding over meetings, recognizing speakers and acting on procedural matters, the press release said.

The chair and vice chair are chosen at the start of every year.
