San Juan Board to Discuss New Classes, Recognize School Award Winners

San Juan Unified School District's Board has a number of items on tonight's agenda and invites public comment throughout the process.

The San Juan Unified School District will meet Tuesday for an open session Board meeting beginning at 6:30 p.m. to discuss, among other topics, the potential introduction of new high school classes.

The additional classes under consideration include Environmental Science (AP), Introduction to Leadership, Link Crew Leadership and Dystopian Literature. The action is anticipated to be finalized as early as June 12.

Among other items to be addressed at the meeting include recognizing the winner of the "Spirit of San Juan" award, which honors a San Juan Unified student's character.
